Sherene works closely and trains with industry-leading microbladers and permanent makeup artists, ensuring that our clients benefit from the latest techniques, standards, and artistry in the permanent makeup industry.
Pre-Appointment Guidelines
To achieve the best possible results, please avoid consuming caffeine at least two hours before your microblading appointment. Additionally, to maintain your flawless brows, it’s essential to schedule a touch-up session within 4–6 weeks of the initial procedure. If you need to reschedule or cancel, kindly provide at least 48 hours’ notice so we can accommodate all of our valued clients.
How Long Does the Procedure Take?
Each microblading appointment lasts approximately two hours. Although the actual microstroking process takes about 60 minutes, we devote significant time to discussing your desired look and perfecting the brow design before we begin. We do not start the procedure until you’re completely satisfied with the outlined shape.
Does It Hurt?
Your comfort is a top priority. We apply a topical numbing agent prior to and throughout the procedure to minimize any discomfort. Most clients report little to no pain, though individual experiences can vary.
Who Is an Ideal Candidate for Microblading?
Ideal microblading candidates are non-smokers in overall good health with healthy skin. You should be able to lie on your back for about an hour. If you meet these criteria, you’ll likely enjoy optimal results.
How Soon Will I See Results?
You’ll notice neat, crisp hair strokes immediately after the procedure. The results are instantly gratifying and continue to look fabulous as they heal.
What Is the Healing Process Like?
The healing process is straightforward. Simply avoid touching the treated area, applying creams, or using aftercare products unless otherwise advised. There’s no downtime but remember to always wash your hands thoroughly before touching your brows to prevent infection.
How Long Does Microblading Last? Is It Permanent?
Microblading results typically last up to two years, depending on your skin type, lifestyle, and aftercare routine. While it’s considered a form of permanent makeup, the pigment may gradually fade over time.
Will I Need Regular Touch-Ups?
We recommend a touch-up appointment 4–6 weeks after your initial session to refine the results and achieve the desired color depth. Annual touch-ups can help maintain color vibrancy and brow definition over the long term.
Does the Color Change Over Time?
About six weeks after the procedure, you’ll see the true color of the pigment. A “ghosting” phase occurs around four weeks post-treatment, during which the pigment may appear lighter. Initially, the pigment looks darkest right after the session and then softens as it settles.
What Training Does Sherene Have?
Sherene received comprehensive training at the renowned Daria Chupry Permanent Makeup Academy in Beverly Hills, completing over 70 hours of intensive instruction. She also earned certifications in safety, sanitation, and blood-borne pathogen protocols, reflecting her commitment to delivering meticulous, safe, and exceptional results.
Can I Wax or Tint My Eyebrows Before Microblading?
If you plan on waxing or tinting your brows, schedule these services at least one week before your microblading appointment. Waxing can cause temporary inflammation, while tinting may affect pigment selection.
Who Should Avoid Permanent Makeup?
Permanent makeup is not recommended for individuals who are:
- Pregnant or nursing
- Diabetic
- Undergoing chemotherapy (consult your physician)
- Managing viral infections, diseases, or epilepsy
- Using a pacemaker or experiencing major heart issues
- Post-organ transplant
- Experiencing skin irritations (rashes, sunburn, acne) near the treatment area
- Sick with a cold, flu, or similar illness
- Within two weeks of Botox injections
- On Accutane within the past year
